Biography and previous work

Matt is in his fourth year of study for an MEng degree in Materials Science and Engineering at The University of Sheffield. As part of this course, he has previously carried out a five month placement with Philips Research developing healthcare wearables before returning for his final year.

Current Work

He is currently completing his final year project in the Natural Materials Group, supervised by Dr Chris Holland. The title of the research is “Visualising Natural Composites under Deformation in 3D”.

Personal interests

His interests include travelling, trekking, squash, and cooking.
